Day 2: Your favorite movie

Uh... I don't really have one? I mean, there are movies I really like, but it's rare for me to rewatch movies. I'm much more a TV gal, so...

Day 3: Your favorite television program

OMG I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN CHOOSE.

I mean, there's BSG, which holds a special place in my heart for getting me into TV and fandom and LJ in the first place, but it really disappointed me its last season and a half, so I don't think it's a good choice. Sorry, BSG. Should've kept up the awesomeness of your first season.

I am actually torn between two shows: Jericho, which has just rendered me catatonic with how unbelievably amazing it is, and SPN, which is also amazing...

Sorry Jericho, I'm gonna have to go with SPN. (But you all should still check that show out, for serious.)

Now. SPN. I am so in love with this show it hurts. I almost cried when I realized I had to wait until January 21, 2010, for the back half of this season. It's so good, you guys. There are so many things I love about it.

What do you guys think?

A1: Dean/Jo, first ever and sadly, last fanmix for them. Definitely spoilerly for anyone who didn't see the fall finale. The title gets its name partially from Dean and partially from the lyrics of a Coldplay song included in the mix.

A2: first off, let me say that there's no link to the songs I've listed in this post. Sadly/annoyingly/pick-which-ever-term-you-prefer, this is due to my computer's power source crapping out on me whenever I attempt to do anything even remotely involving the internet. As it is, I was only able to rescue the graphics for the mix before my p.c. crashed again by transferring them to my sister's laptop via memory stick. Hopefully, I'll be able to remedy this in a few days (I'll post a new entry with a link back to here once the music's uploaded). Fingers crossed!!

Hey, y'all! How are you. I see I've missed a ton of posts while I was away, but I'm too lazy to go and check 'em all out. :P

Anyway, it has been a very busy week. I was pretty much off-line for all of it, and I was going to come on yesterday, but then I fell asleep while reading Jane Eyre. At 7:15. It wasn't because of the book, though! It was because I was tired. I'd only gotten, like, four hours of sleep because I went to LA on Thursday, which brings me to the point of this post:

I'm also going to start doing something I meant to start at the beginning of December, but I got distracted. I'll just double up (not today, though) until I catch up.

This song is just... god, I can't even describe how much I love it. I first heard it on court_jesster's mix and just fell in love with it the second I heard, to all the ones who tried the most: was I supposed to cheer your efforts? It's so amazing. You will love it.

(And honorable mention to "Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh" by Bright Eyes. Which is so melancholy and so, so good.)

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. Thank you for your understanding and all the LJ love...

Hey LJers,

I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)
